Charles Baker Harris (Dill)
Charles Baker "Dill' Harris is a friend of Scout and Jem and they meet on summer break while he stays with his aunt for the summer. Although Dill is a pesky boy, he also has brave soul and does not fear or worry about much things. A theme that corresponds with Dill would bravery because he had the guts to run away from his family and travel a long distance just so he could be safe even though he could face the fact that he could of been punished.
Dill is a friend of the Finch children, who is a little older than Scout, and is short for his age. Dill has a very active imagination, and expresses a strong sense of adventure. He shows to us his sense of adventure when he creates journeys toward the Radley house. When summers end, Dill is forced to go back home where is lives with family. Dill's family life is less than ideal, and when difficult situations face him, he runs away. Dill spends summers with his aunt, who lives next door to the Finch family which is why he plays with Jem and Scout. A theme for Dill would be
